Modvigil is a medication also known as a eugeroic or wakefulness-promoting agent. It helps medical conditions that may cause excessive sleepiness. It is used to treat narcolepsy and other sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea and shift work disorders, to manage and suppress attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Modvigil helps to keep alert for up to 12 hours. It is also used by healthy people as an intelligent medicine to enhance and retain the brain's cognitive abilities, concentration, and memory processing.
For narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnoea, one Modvigil 200mg tablet should be taken in the morning. For shift pattern sleep disorder, one tablet should be taken before starting your working hours, at least before an hour, in order to help your body stave off excessive sleepiness.
Some of the most common Modvigil side effects that occur while taking this medication are:- Headaches or migraines, dizziness or weakness, insomnia, changes in appetite, feeling thirst, and aching muscles.
