Anastrozole tablets contain a substance called Anastrozole. This belongs to a group of medicines called aromatase inhibitors. This medication is used to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through a change of life. Treating certain types of breast cancer in a woman who has been through menopause, including women with disease progression after Tamoxifen therapy. Anastrozole tablets are mostly used in a dose of 1mg and it is prescribed for hormone receptor-positive, early breast cancer in postmenopausal women as adjuvant treatment.
Do not try anastrozole tablets if you are pregnant planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
