Ciprofloxacin Tablet

Ciprofloxacin extended-release tablets are only used to treat urinary tract infections, including acute uncomplicated pyelonephritis. Ciprofloxacin is an antibacterial prescription medicine approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment and prevention of several infections caused by designated, susceptible bacteria.

Ciprofloxacin comes as a tablet, a suspension (liquid), and an extended-release tablet to take by mouth with or without food.

When used to treat gonorrhea, the tablets and suspension may be given as a single dose.

Ciprofloxacin tablet is available in multiple doses such as 100mg, 250mg, 500mg but suitable dose of your ciprofloxacin depend on the type of bacterial infection you have which must be as per physical consultant. The tablets and suspension are usually taken twice a day, and the extended-release tablets are usually taken once a day. Take ciprofloxacin at around the same time(s) every day.

The most common side effects of ciprofloxacin are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and rash.
