Malegra 120 mg is commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It contains the active compound sildenafil citrate, the only one approved by the FDA. Sildenafil causes an increase in cGMP resulting in relaxation of smooth muscle and flow of blood in the corpus cavernosum. It works by increasing blood flow to the genital areas that help men to get or maintain an erection. It belongs to a group of medicines known as phosphodiesterase type PDE5 inhibitors.
The recommended dosage of Malegra is 120mg. You should take the medication before one hour of activity and the effect of this medication lasts up to 4 to 6 hours. If you have liver or kidney diseases, you should not take Malegra tablets. This medicine may interact with nitrates and isosorbides and it is not suitable for women and children.
